Prichard Colón was born in Maitland, Florida in 1992, but his foray into the world of boxing started when he was very young.

He first began competing at the age of 10, when he moved to Puerto Rico to represent the island, and was soon nicknamed "Digget", in reference to his height.

During his amateur career, where he won 5 national championships and the gold medal at the 2010 Pan American Youth Championship.

Pro Boxing Debut, Tragic Turn

Colon turned professional in 2012 with an outstanding 17-0-0 amateur record. But then in 2015, after a fight with Terrel Williams, he slumped into a brain injured, vegetative state, effectively ending his career.

This was a terrible blow for him, not only in his career but his personal life.
