Christie got married to Mary Pat Foster who is a former governor of New Jersey. Mary who is now Mary Pat Christie was born on July 15, 1963, in Paoli, Pennsylvania. She graduated from the University of Delaware with a bachelor’s in finance, where she met her husband Chris Christie.

Before becoming the First Lady of New Jersey, Mary Pat Christie spent over 20 years working in the investment banking sector. Up until April 2015, she was a managing director at the Wall Street investment company Angelo, Gordon & Co. In June 2023, Mary Pat became a partner at Christie 55 Solutions, her husband’s consulting business.

Christie and his wife Mary Pat have been blessed with four children. Andrew Christie, who was born in 1993, is the oldest child. The Christies welcomed a daughter called Sarah Christie three years later, in 1996.

Patrick, the third child and second son of the marriage was born in 2000. Bridget, their last child, and second daughter, was born in 2003.

Christie was born in Newark, New Jersey, to Sondra A.  Grasso,  who is a telephone receptionist, and Wilbur James “Bill” Christie, who is also a certified public accountant who graduated from Rutgers Business School. His mother was of Italian (Sicilian) ancestry, and his father is of German, Scottish, and Irish descent.
